No doubt consuming carbohydrates can help you do a better marathon. But they also work as fuel in your body. Especially when you have to do intense exercises then you must consume carbohydrates accordingly. This way you will be able to put much effort into your workout and you can have great results. It is also best to have toast or oatmeal.

There are many chances of dehydration so it is very important to drink water as much as possible. It is recommended that you should drink ½ to 1 ounce of water per pound of body weight per day. This way you will be able to stay away from dehydration. You can also check your weight before and after a weight session. Losing 2% of your body weight is normal but not more than that.

If you want to get the most out of your workout then you should take proper sleep. Without proper sleep, you cannot perform well in the gym. Your body also starts getting weaker after sleep deprivation and you will also not feel stronger. You should set a sleep pattern for yourself and take seven to nine hours of sleep every night.

It is suggested that you should drink a glass of chocolate milk after your workout. The reason is that it has proteins and carbohydrates and proteins are capable to repair muscles. Carbohydrates give you a feeling of fullness and also help the protein to get into your muscles. 

Get a Cardio Buddy

A gym buddy can not only give you a good company but you also workout for a longer period. Having someone around you can motivate you and you can also take good advice from them. Your workout will certainly feel less difficult when working with a gym buddy. Reportedly cyclists pedaled twice during their exercise when they were with their partners. 

Eat Protein Before Bed

It’s already mentioned above that proteins can repair your muscles. But taking protein right after a workout can create a back up for your muscles. At night, any snack that is rich in casein can bring you great results because they can increase amino acid and muscle protein synthesis rates. Greek yogurt or cottage cheese can be great resources to get the casein protein. You can consume them right after your workout or before going to bed at night.
